When does it stop??? (Superior abstract of Plano Texas)

Really do not know what to say. I am so sick of the shit we are going through trying to sell this place. Most of it was normal bull shit that all sellers have to do, but now we are facing a title problem that never should have happened. Seems that the title company we used back in 2008 ( Superior abstract of Plano Texas ) did  not complete the paper work needed to have the house transferred into our name. So now 48 hours before we should have closed we are trying to locate the old seller and have her sign papers that should have been signed over two years ago so that we can sell.  

  If this sale falls through because of this we plan to get a Lawyer and go after somebody if possible. The least we will do is move from current real Estate agent  ( century 21 ) and raise the price of the place once the title is clear so we can make up the loss. I would also like to shut off water an electric to save money when we are not here. Plan to be gone from mid May to Sept at the very least.. 

This is not a bad place for the right people, 10 plus minus acres, barn, out buildings, and a three bedroom mobile house.  Located in Wills Point Texas, 1669 Cr 3415.. 

The BULL S*&^ of selling.

Okay... I know it is here someplace.  Bit of rebar was put here in 1985 as a maker.  It has to still be here, who cares that a phone line was strung, fence put up, and cable buried since then..  

Okay lets go look for a marker someplace else..

First you deal with a real estate agent to list the place ( do not feel ours did a good job at all ) then you have to watch as looky Lou's walk around just to see what you have. Then once you have a buyer you have to answer question after question that you thought was covered. Then comes to dealing, for us it was a home inspection, followed by having to spend money to fix a minor problem ( small amount of wood rot ) .. Today we get to watch as the place gets surveyed because the banks now require it.  Just hoping all goes well because today is Tuesday and we are to close on friday.


I only hope we are out of here by this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weather in Texas

Been back for going on four weeks and so far the weather has been cold one day hot the next, but mostly it has been windy. Today we are waiting and watching to see if we get hit with a bad storm maybe tornado, or just more wind???  Took a walk with the dogs and this is what we saw..

Working on the rv doing more small stuff trying to make it look better and use the more for storage better. Things are starting to look better.  In some cases it is as simple as out with the old drab blue curtains that came with it and replacing with something a bit nicer. Also made some shelf guards to stop anything from falling when on the road.

House Inspection

Today I sat inside playing on the computer as a home inspector went around looking at things. We have reduced the price of this place to the point that I am not willing to fix anything more then we have already done. As far as I am concerned we should just shut off the water, and electric and leave.  Put it on the market as is... Just like buying a used car, good deal if you are willing to do the work.. Do not expect a perfect house at bargain prices, anymore then you would expect a BMW 2011 for $1000.00..

So far he has walked around the house four or five times, climbed onto the roof and walked around, punched a rod into the ground for what reason is beyond me, and has paced off the land. Why is he pacing off the land????

Came into the house and turned on all the water facets to flush some dye?, turned on the stove and took a photo of all burners on, turned on furnace and checked the vents, looking around at this and that..

Writing the report, hope we pass.. So far it has been over two hours since arrival.

Called the Rv repair place that has my RV and was told it is ready, has a new water pump for fresh water tank, generator now works and starts from the inside, and all plumping has been checked and looks good.  Will have to wait until tomorrow to go and get because the inspection is taken so long I will not be able to get to the place before it closes today.

   Man is taken longer to write the report then it took to do the inspection... AHHHHHHH!!!


Report is over and it is looking good, only normal maintenance  needs to be done.  So maybe we will get this place sold... :)

To The Dump, Dump Dump

Today was the day to find an RV Dump to empty out our Black and Gray water tanks.  On the way out I noticed what looked like a coyote but was not sure so stopped the RV pulled out my trusty zoom Camera and took a few shots of it.  Drove to a RV park in Canton Tx, and dumped the tanks for free, do not think it was supposed to be free but the office was closed and no answer on the phone when called. Then went to the Local TA Travel Center for Breakfast before coming back and parking the RV back in its spot for the night.

 Currently we are hoping the house will close on April 30th and we can get out of here. I think both Kay and myself are getting antsy wanting to get back on the road. I know I am ....

Rest of today will be just sitting back and relaxing, tomorrow I bring my RV into the shop to have fresh water tank/pump, and the generator serviced. Will also request they look at the plumbing to be sure it will hold up.  Then I will be ready to do some boon-docking when the time comes to move on.

Lazy Hot day

Today is hot and for once I have nothing I have to get done. So I decided to take a walk and see if any photos needed to be taken. Only came across one lonely  Butterfly before it got to hot to walk anymore. 

My Ghost Ticket

Was planning on just hanging out and doing some odd jobs  on the RV. This changed quickly when the mail arrived and I received  a parking ticket. 

This is what I got in the mail, notice it calls itself a reminder. A reminder of what???? I never got a ticket to begin with. Also the date of the ticket was for the 29th of March, my RV was parked in the yard and I was calling around to get the furnace fixed. Best part of this is I had to go to Dallas to contest it, no phone or web site for such a thing, can only be done in person. So Kay drove me into Dallas so I could fight City Hall.  This was only a 58 miles drive to contest a B.S. ticket. 

Once we arrived and found a parking stop ( had to pay of course )  I went into City Hall, found the place I needed to be and walked up to the lady behind the counter.  I handed her the "reminder" she type a number into the computer and then handed me a form to fill out. She said the ticket was a bad ticket whatever that means, and I will get a dismissal in the mail within a few days. I never had to say anything about not being there or anything. Sort of took the wind out of my sails after pulling up proof that me and my RV had not left Wills Point since the 27th and the ticket was for the 29th.   Okay it did work out but wasted a lot of time.

Tea Time

Today was spent driving around doing odds and ends. First picked up a few items at Wally World, checked out an RV repair place we want to take our units to next week for some minor work on generator and water systems. Then drove around looking for a place to dump our tanks Sunday so we are empty when we go to the repair station.

Best part of the day however was when we stopped for lunch at the

I also had crab salad and it was wonderful. Also had a spice tea that was great if a bit on the too sweet side after  a cup. 

This is the type of place I wish I could find more often when on the road, would love to stop at a place like this once or twice a week. It would just be so much fun to find and eat at small places like this that have they own style. If you are ever in the area I would highly recommend checking it out, oh yes they is a large parking lot just up the street on the same side that can be used for RV parking.. Another reason I like it. It is on my to visit list when in this area..
