Today we said our goodbyes and pulled away from the farm.
Got up early ( for us ) and started cleaning the RV and packing it for travel. Just about half way done a god friend came to say goodbye and wish us well. During the goodbyes we all started to cry, guess we will miss some things after all.
Once we finished packing, cleaning and tieing things down we hooked up, checked the systems, and pulled out.
Opps... went left out of the drive and got stuck, too tight a turn with the trailer. We stopped traffic for a spell, by blocking both lanes... Had to use 4 wheel drive and reverse the trailer back into the drive way, digging a six inch deep 10 foot long tranch. Guess you could say we left our mark after all...
Okay NOW... after allowing traffic to clear we did exit stage RIGHT this time and we are on our way.
Crossed the state line leaving Kentuckey at 11:42 A.M. Eastern time....
Fueled the truck and ourselfs at a Flying j in Tenn, and spending the night in a second flying J in Ar.. ( fueled again ) Only problem was for a short time it looked as if the engine was going to overheat, but luck was on our side and all turned out well. Did just under 400 miles today, and more then happy with that. Only getting about 7 miles to the gallon on fuel and not real happy about that...
Now to see what tomorrow brings.
