Returned to boat

Back on the Snapper Oct 6th. She is a mess... Seem Ike caught her in the open and knocked out power and tossed her around for a day or two. So when she did get towed back to port the crew at that time were sent home and nothing was done to fix things for over a week. When I got back the other crew had onle been back for a few days and lots of work was needed. So we worked at port for 9 days to get ready to go back to work. Left port yesterday afternoon and glad to be gone. Was not a pretty place to be. Now wwe will see if all that work was enough to go into production or will we have problems??

Adios Mexico

Today we leave Mexico to return home. So for todays post it will be only photos of Kay or myself taken during the trip.

Finale Day of Trip

Tomorrow we head back to Texas, and the week after I am back on the boat. We had breakfast then went to the jarden to get tickets for a tour. When waiting a ceremony of some type for independance was held. It was short and sweet then the kids did a short parade and it was over.

Only went to one house on the tour then Kay got sick and we came back to the hotel. Now just hoping she will be okay tomorrow and I do not get whatever it is.. So ends our last full day in Mexico.

Good Day in Mexico

Hello to anyone who is reading this. Today was a good day, first we found out about a parade taken place just down the street from the hotel. It was a big parade for the small kids, Kindergarten and first graders only from what I could find out. The Police closed the street, and gave the kids an escort, never happen in the states, and that is a shame!!! It looked like all the parents and the adults from all over the area came out to support them. LOVED it... I have to admit the children down here are so much closer to family then in the U.S.A.

Next great thing that happened was to find a new place to stay for the last two days. Sick of walking an hour to and from anything in the center of town. We are now about 10 minutes from the center and in a much nicer room for very little more.. Factor in bus and taxi and it comes to about the same price.

Then just to end the day on a high note we run into a third parade on our way to dinner. I believe this one was to start off the celebrations for the Saints this weekend going into next week. I really have to learn more about when and why the parades.
