Placed an offer
After all was said and done we placed an offer on the first place we looked at with the real estate agent. Now we are waiting for word on if the offer will be accepted or not. The last place we looked at was only 45,000.... but it looked like termites had been feasting on the place for years. Shame because the place could have been turned into a great place for 30-40K.. ( without the termites ).. So we returned to #1 and checked it out a third time before placing the offer. This place can be made nice for about $10,000 more invested into fixing. Will post photos of work as it gets done if we get the place, if we do not get it then we will just have to look yet again I guess.

beach day two
Morning saw us take the dogs to the Fort De Soto Dog beach. Shelby played with us in the water, we got to see her fetch a toy and bring it back. Reason this is interesting is that for as long as we have had her ( four years plus ) she has never wanted to play fetch on land. But through something in the water and she goes after it. Was fun to see her having fun. Now Spencer all he wanted to do was stay at the chairs and hide.. Well that did not happen, we got him in the water by trick and carry.. Headed to pick up our laundry and take in a movie, the dogs should sleep for the afternoon..

Dog Play

Have been off the boat for a few days now, headed to Florida for a combination vacation relocate information. Except for the long drive days it has been okay so far. Nothing great to write home about yet, but nothing to really complain about either. The three photos on this page show 1. Kay in bed with our two traveling pals, Spencer and Shelby. 2. The truck parked in fount of a small bar and grill that we ate at that had the best Tuna fillet I have had to date. The last was just a shot of interest, lady and her dog in a kayak paddling past us.

Back to School we go...
Photo below is my impression of a tea pot.. After all I am about to get boiled.

Tuesday the 9th had us in the classroom for the first half of the day getting more instructions on firefighting. Then after lunch we went out into 95 degree heat and put on full firefighting gear to put out four different types of fires. First was a galley fire, second a paint locker, third was open pit, and the last one was the open pit using foam.

Day three was once again all classroom, first aid, CPR and PSSR. We all know what first aid and CPR is all about so will not bore anyone. PSSR is about not tossing things into the water and why ( mostly ) was not a very exciting day but it is over. Thursday and Friday will be spent mostly in the water doing HUET escape stuff..
Day four June 11th 2009. Today was the water torture, we spent from 11:45 am until 3:30 pm in the water. Did water survival training, then had to do the helicopter escape four times. See video for what I am talking about. I was exhausted at the end of the day.. But it was fun until just before the end when I got a lot of water up my nose.
Last day of school, YES!!!!!!! Today was cold water survival, almost the same as yesterday except it was about using immersion suits ( gumbey suit ) in cold water areas. Took a test and out at 2pm.. Easy day..
Tomorrow I head back home for two weeks before going back to the boat.

New Blood
Once the new ones were released in the pen with the others it became obvious that BIG Mama did not like the company. She kept chasing the new ones around until I had to separate them into different sections... Hope this changes with time. If it does not change then we will have a problem breading them, and will have to rethink the matter.
