Good Day in Mexico
Hello to anyone who is reading this. Today was a good day, first we found out about a parade taken place just down the street from the hotel. It was a big parade for the small kids, Kindergarten and first graders only from what I could find out. The Police closed the street, and gave the kids an escort, never happen in the states, and that is a shame!!! It looked like all the parents and the adults from all over the area came out to support them. LOVED it... I have to admit the children down here are so much closer to family then in the U.S.A.
Next great thing that happened was to find a new place to stay for the last two days. Sick of walking an hour to and from anything in the center of town. We are now about 10 minutes from the center and in a much nicer room for very little more.. Factor in bus and taxi and it comes to about the same price.
Then just to end the day on a high note we run into a third parade on our way to dinner. I believe this one was to start off the celebrations for the Saints this weekend going into next week. I really have to learn more about when and why the parades.
Walk about in San Miguel
Today I did something different, just walked around sometimes getting lost in local areas taken photos of what goes on outside of the tourist places. Here are some of the photos I took.

Dolores Hidalgeo (spelling does not count)
Today we took a tour of a smaller city about 40K from SMA. First as always we visited the church, it is famous for were the revaluation of 1810 started. Then the guide took us around to the city hall were the copy of the bell from the revaluation is on display ( real one is in Mexico City ). Then went to an excellent Museum that had details about how things were in Mexico from the Spanish first landed to 1810. I learned a lot more then I thought I would, the Mexico history is a lot more then I realized.
Next
we went to lunch, if I was to stay in DH I think it would become on of my favorites. For desert we had Ice Cream from a street vendor, I had beer flavor and it was good!!! If real beer was as good I would be in trouble. Ended the day with a trip to Atotonilco to visit the small church that is painted inside and is called the Mexican 16th chapel. This church is being restored and when completed will be marveles even now it is worth the side trip. So eneded a very nice day in Mexico... For the first time I think I could live in this part of the country as long as it is not in Central SMA.
